The Last Lanes of 2016

Walking along the laneway in winter, not as enjoyable as in spring when the green leafy colour lines the hedgerows and fresh scents fill the air, but still on a cold winter's day the reminders of last season's life are there.

This is how much of Ireland looks in the winter, on first inspection it appears not very inviting. Look closer however and it is possible to find plenty of interest for the photographer and tourist.

Especially when you consider that the lane leads to somewhere interesting.
