End of Summer, County Down

Northern Ireland looking great at the end of summer Northern Ireland looking great at the end of summer

We have passed the equinox, this year on the 22nd of September in Ireland.

The equinox is the point of the year when day length equals night length, so twelve hours each.

It's a time when Ireland is colourful and full of life, trees are turning from green to the bright yellows, reds, browns and everything in between.

And of course it is a time that is of great interest to the photographer.

Fields are not only green as per usual, but various colours with barley and wheat providing for a brighter countryside.

On a recent photography tour from Belfast we took in a lighthouse, coastal landscapes, agricultural scenes like this and archaeology.
